“We are not praising him for what has happened. We are praising him for the gift that Iago is in our lives and we are praising God for being who he is: a Father, someone who leads, also who educates, who protects. In praise all the attributes of God come out and that gives us faith and confidence that God is caring about him. The request can be made with confidence but praise generates confidence” he expressed.
“The grace of God is accompanying him wherever he is and in that we have to trust,” the priest stressed, recognizing that in those moments “the feeling of helplessness and lack of control of the situation” reigned.
Finally, he emphasized the meaning and effectiveness of the community prayer that was being carried out to find the young man: “He is worth a lot before God. It is an insistent plea, with confidence, in community, which is where the Spirit is. And the Spirit is the one who finds the lost and makes the person find themselves. We not only have to ask for Iago’s encounter but for Iago to find himself, find his own truth, that this experience serves him, he knows where he comes from, what his roots are, who are the ones who truly love him.” .
