With the celebration this December 20 in the parish of The Twelve Apostles of Madrid (Spain), presided over by Auxiliary Bishop D. Juan Antonio Martínez Camino, the closing ceremonies of the Jubilee Year of The Work of the Church, an ecclesial institution, conclude of pontifical right.
This Jubilee Year has been celebrated due to the 25th Anniversary of the Pontifical Approval of the Institution, on December 20, 1997, granted by Saint John Paul II.
Since the beginning of December, different events have taken place in various dioceses in which The Work of the Church is present. In addition to other Spanish cities, there were also closing celebrations in the Sanctuary of Santa Ana de Nayón, in Quito (Ecuador), and in the parish of Nuestra Señora de Valme in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, where this institution is already present in a way stable.
