The Catholic ministry Word on Firefounded by Mons. Robert Barron, has invited the faithful to join its challenge for the month of May: to ensure that 50,000 rosaries are prayed throughout the world asking that people who have distanced themselves from the Catholic Church return to the faith.
“As we enter the month of May, in which we place special emphasis on the Church’s relationship with Mary, we ask Catholics to join us in praying 50,000 rosaries with the intention that those who have fallen away from their faith , can return to the Church with a renewed understanding of the love and mercy of God,” the ministry expresses in its website.
In a video, Bishop Barron, also Bishop of Winona-Rochester (United States), relates that last year 64,000 rosaries were prayed during the month of May.
