In recent years, initiatives have multiplied to promote the ascension to the altars of the Castilian monarch, among which is an annual pilgrimage organized by the Enraizados association, coinciding with the date of the Queen’s birth on April 22.
In its third edition, Rooted has prepared a tour which begins at the place where she died, Medina del Campo, continues on the way to the city where she married Fernando of Aragon, Valladolid, and concludes in Tordesilla, where the famous treaty of the same name was signed between Spain and Portugal on the American lands. The pilgrimage will take place between April 19 and 21.
The president of Enraizados, José Castro Velarde, points out in a statement that the beatification of the queen “would be an immense gift of blessings because it would remind us that politics is the field of the vastest charity, as defined by the Magisterium of the Church.” .
