Woman with fame as a “healer” gathered about 25,000 in Buenos Aires

Some 25,000 people gathered this weekend in Santos Lugares, a town in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires (Argentina), to participate in a meeting with Leda Bergonzi, the woman with the charisma of healing from Rosario who is visited weekly by crowds.

After several days camping outside the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, on Saturday, May 18, the 44-year-old laywoman popularly known as a “healer” and even “the woman of miracles,” led a massive meeting.

The day was broadcast live from the sanctuary, whose rector is the Congolese priest Medardo Kahindo Vyangavo, of the Order of Augustinian Assumptionists, who presided over the Mass. Leda along with a group of musicians then animated the Eucharistic Adoration.

In statements to the press, the woman assured that she would not leave the place until she could receive and give a blessing to each of those who came to meet her, and affirmed that the faithful would take “the Holy Spirit” from there. Likewise, she advised those who could not attend to follow the live broadcast and “seek God, not look for me.”

Every week, at the former Rural de Rosario property, Leda Bergonzi receives tens of thousands of faithful who express their faith in the power of women, whose “charisma of healing” was recognized by the Archdiocese of Rosario.

Leda belongs to the community of prayer and Eucharistic adoration Breath of the Living God, and her popularity—already known among Catholics—became more media-friendly after receiving a visit from Celia Cuccittini, Lionel Messi’s mother.
