A neighbor, who was nearby with a bucket of water, quickly put out the flames that were consuming her. “She was the one who saved my life, she turned me off,” she remembers with gratitude.
On the other hand, she said that the second moment in which she experienced divine help was in the emergency room of the Matamoros hospital, when an unknown man approached her husband. “Seeing him disconsolate, she told him: ‘Let’s pray.’” After learning of the situation, the man, a retired military man, offered his help in transferring her to a hospital specialized in burns located in the state of Texas (United States), on the other side of the border. According to her testimony, this act was crucial, since it allowed her to receive the necessary treatment.
Already in the hospital, Thalía mentioned that “there were many days of anguish, with a very critical condition,” remembering that the doctors “said many very negative things to my entire family. Despite the adversities, Thalía managed to regain her sight and the ability to walk.

Thalía also highlighted the importance of maintaining hope and strength, stating that “we are not alone, we are always in the company of God and He loves us very much. When we don’t feel alone, it’s because He is hugging us very tightly.”
