The Film Festival is back, after its editions last year (there were two, one in February and the other in October). But this time it will be extra large, since it will not only be from Thursday to Sunday, but will last for a full week.
The new Film Festival starts this Thursday, February 22 and ends on Wednesday the 28th, in practically all the cinemas in the country: there are more than 50 theater chains (see the list below).
All performances in 2D, 3D, XD, comfort, Monster Screen and Gold Class theaters will have tickets for only 1,500 pesos. Today, they cost $6,100 in various chains. If we compare with the two previous Festivals, in the October Festival those tickets cost 800 pesos, and a year ago, 450 pesos. Screenings in 4D, DBOX and Premium theaters will cost 2,800 pesos when, in some chains, if you go to the cinema today, you must pay $8,500 in the 4D ones, $8,400 in the DBOX ones and the Premium ones, $10,200. So, do your math…
So it is a good opportunity not only to return to the cinema, but to enjoy premieres, a highly anticipated re-release and see films with Oscar nominations.
For example, Retirement planaction comedy with Nicolas Cage, premieres this Thursday, February 22. AND Nine Queensthe film by Fabián Bielinsky, with Ricardo Darin and Gastón Pauls, arrives in new, digitized and 4K copies.
Reviewing the films with the most nominations for the Hollywood Academy Awards, they are Oppenheimer, poor creatures, Barbie, Area of interest, Anatomy of a fall, Those who stay y I Captainamong other.
It is true that a couple of premieres moved their original date (Thursday the 22nd) and were moved to later, but they do release horror films, such as The jesterand the anime Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba.
Cheapest popcorn
In turn, each chain committed, as in previous editions, to implementing different promotions in the popcorn and drink combos. In the cinemas of the Cinemark and Hoyts chain you can also find the Cinema Party Combos at Candy with up to 50% off: Medium POP Bag and a large soda, $3,500, and a POP Bucket and a large soda, $4000.
At Cinépolis, for example, for $4,000 you can enjoy a bag of popcorn along with an extra-large soda, or with a bucket of popcorn, for only $4,400.
