In a recent cover article Vanity Fair On Downey Jr., the president of Marvel Studios spoke about whether or not they would resurrect Tony Stark / Iron Man, after his death in Avengers: Endgame.
“We’re going to hold that moment and not touch it again,” Feige said of Stark’s final moments in the 2019 film. “We all worked very hard for many years to get to that, and we would never want to magically undo it in any way.” , collected Variety.
Downey Jr., who made his Marvel debut in Iron Man, from 2008, was almost passed over for the role due to his reputation, which included his arrest in April 1996 for possession of heroin, cocaine, and an unloaded gun. “It was all simply because the Marvel board was nervous about putting all their chips in their future films on someone who had those legal problems in the past,” Feige said of Downey’s arrests. “I wasn’t very good, and I still am not, at taking no for an answer.
