We could say that it is the most anticipated film of this year. The third of Deadpool which, it seems, will have a new title (Deadpool y Wolverine), has just released its first preview and poster at Super Bowl 58. And it stars, of course, the characters they play Ryan Reynolds y Hugh Jackman.

But Reynolds wasn’t going to stay silent (or is everything already arranged beforehand?), and said that the classic Marvel hero was egocentric for changing the order of the names in the title. Reynolds tweeted “he wait until you see Deadpool’s bucket of popcorn.”
The main focus of the trailer is that Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, was going to participate for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After years of the X-Men characters being under the 20th Century Fox roof, it’s up to Deadpool to come out of retirement to essentially save the MCU from itself.
There were countless references to the larger Marvel universe, but the biggest plot device seen in the new footage was the involvement of the Time Variance Authority (TVA). This now iconic secret organization was featured in the series Loki and its function is to keep the multiverse in perfect balance.
Like that series of Disney+, it looks like Deadpool is recruited to solve a universe-destroying problem for TVA. The center of that theme revolves around Wolverine and the dead Fox universe, whose logo can be seen broken in the background of the trailer’s main stage…
Obviously, the biggest selling point of this movie is that Jackman returns as Wolverine for the first time since the character met his end in Loganfrom 2017 (a year after the first Deadpool and a year before the second). Since the character’s debut in X-Men Since 2000, the Australian actor has appeared as the iconic mutant in ten films (including the upcoming Deadpool 3).
However, this is the first time the character will wear his iconic yellow and blue suit, true to the comic. As expected from a Deadpool movie, there will be plenty of other Marvel cameos in this third installment.
The film was directed by Shawn Levy, one of the directors of several episodes of the series. Stranger Thingswho has worked with Reynolds previously on Free Guy y The Adam Project.

After the controversy with Jonathan Majors (fired as a Phase 5 villain for sexual harassment) and the fact that the last of Ant-Man y The Marvels will not work at the box office, the release dates of Marvel movies for 2024 (and years to come) have changed.
