One of the most significant elements of Advent is the wreath, in which a candle is lit every Sunday, symbolizing the light that grows as Christmas approaches. A good idea is to choose a song of four verses for this moment, and add a verse each Sunday, until completing the song with the last candle.
The time of Advent is also a Marian time, in which the figure of the Virgin, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, takes on special importance, sheltering the Savior in her womb. In this context, it is advisable to culminate the celebrations of this time with a song dedicated to the Virgin.
During the entire Advent season, Christmas carols should be avoided and reserved for the arrival of Christmas.
