The murmur of the sea and the sound of the leaves of the trees moving with the wind. The footprints of bare feet in the sand and the echo of footsteps on a path that zigzags through the vegetation. CariloPinamar district, offers this beautiful combination of beach and a forest which is also a nature reserve.
Loaded with magic and energythe forest was the result of the work of pioneer Héctor Manuel Guerrero –lover of nature and botany-, who insisted on convert the sand dunes into endless trees and bushes.
The forest began to be created in 1918with seedlings of species brought by Héctor from different continents and his house was the first in Cariló, which today is a destination on the Atlantic Coast of Buenos Aires that is characterized by offering tranquillity and, at the same time, excellent hotel infrastructure and one gastronomy that stands out.
The magic of the forest
It is said that elves or gnomes inhabit and take care of the Cariló forest and there are legends or stories of encounters with these magical beings. That is why there is a certain charm and mystery that comes from the trees, from the rustle of the leaves rubbing against each other, from the birds and other animals that move inside them, some noisier, others in stealth.

With the aim of living a unique experienceon Thursday January 23 at 8 p.m.the first will be carried out “Cariló Night Family Expedition 2025” (in case of bad weather it goes to Friday the 24th).
The proposal is for those who are enjoying their vacations in the area – families with children, couples, friends – to join a night tour to discover “one of the most beautiful forests in Argentina, full of mystery and charm,” the organization says.

The journey, suitable for everyone and without difficultiesit will be done inside the forest to appreciate the nocturnal flora and fauna and also the sky, the Moon and the stars.
“We meet at 7:30 p.m. at Acacia y el Mar, in Divisaderoand we left for the reserve, which is a protected landscape,” explains Adrián “Indio” Cabello, director of the production company Golden Cast Eventos, part of the organization of this walk.
“We reach a point where we stop to rest and listen to the story of a magical forest, with goblins, fairies, elves and more,” tempts the Indian.
“For more than 100 years, magical beings have lived in the Cariló forest: elves, and one night we met one, small and mischievous…” says the story that, Miguel Anzel anticipates, the walkers will hear and continues: “Once We asked him why he didn’t let himself be seen by everyone…”
This stop will also serve to hydrate and snack before heading back.
But the adventure doesn’t end there: On the way back there will be a music show, games and raffles, as well as a delicious hot meat sandwich and more drinks to hydrate.
