What is the driving program for “normal drivers” that was launched in the country like?

How many users really know the limits of their car? And how many consider themselves good drivers? AbarthFiat’s sports division, has just presented an intensive driving program in Argentina so that the brand’s customers can learn, reinforce and enhance their driving concepts and skills on a track.

Abarth Racer’s Academy is the proposal so that users of Pulse Abarth and Fastback Abarth, recently launched in the local market, and other models such as the 595 Turismo, can get the most out of their cars safely and receiving advice from professional drivers.

The driving clinic will be available within “The Scorpionship Club”, the benefits and experiences program that the scorpion brand will launch in July, with limited spaces. The dates have not yet been confirmed, although they will be communicated on the exclusive website that will be online in the coming days.

Although as a preview, the brand organized a day at the Buenos Aires Autodrome for the specialized press, based on two axes: safe driving and sporty driving.

The practices are carried out on board the recently launched Pulse Abarth and Fastback Abarth.

The track exercises were carried out aboard the Pulse and Fastback Abarth, both equipped with the 1.3 turbo 175 horsepower engine, although other models could be added later and it is not ruled out that customers can bring their units.

What the Abarth Racer’s Academy consists of

The first thing to keep in mind is that the activity includes theoretical-practical modules taught by professional motorsport drivers. It also includes simulator tests, which recreate part of the circuit and exercises.

As we said, the program addresses two thematic axes; the first linked to the safe driving where participants will learn about common driving situations and will be able to perform classic maneuvers such as slalom, the “moose test”, and braking on wet surfaces.

Before going out on the track, participants can practice in the simulators. Before going out on the track, participants can practice in the simulators.

The objective is for participants to be able, among other things, to recognize the limits of their cars and the operation of electronic assistance, testing themselves in situations that may arise on a road, highway or in an urban environment.

The second is more associated with the spirit of the brand: the sporty drivingwhere in addition to learning the most important tips, clients will be able to participate in different time-based competitions.

The guide for the most spicy tests is the experienced driver Gustavo Der Ohanessian, who raced in TC2000, Turismo Nacional, Top Race, Formula Renault and Formula 2 Codasur, among other motorsport categories.
