Ford anticipated that next year it will begin selling the Everest in our market, an SUV built on the basis of the new generation of the Ranger pickup that, among other countries, is manufactured in Argentina.
The new Ford Everest will arrive in the country imported from Thailand (another market where Ranger is produced) and will be available during the first half of 2025becoming one of the brand’s greatest novelties for our market.
The announcement of this landing occurred during the inauguration of Pacheco Hub, the new corporate building located within the Pacheco industrial center.
The Ford Everest will be the largest SUV marketed by the brand in our market. It will be the only model of the brand with three rows of seats (the rear ones can be folded under the trunk floor) and will compete directly with Toyota SW4 and Chrevolet Trailblazer (will be launched during the first quarter of 2025).
A no small detail is that when imported from Thailand the model must pay 35% of customs taxes, a fact that could make the difference compared to its rivals manufactured in the region.
However, by sharing a platform, chassis and components with the Ranger pickup, it is not unreasonable to think about future local production, although there has not yet been any type of confirmation from the automaker.
Ford also did not provide any information on the configuration available for Argentina. However, it is expected to be equipped with one or more engines from the midsize pickup, as well as similar comfort and safety equipment.
In other markets, the Ford Everest is marketed with the 2.0 bi-turbodiesel engines (210 HP and 500 Nm) and the 3.0 V6 turbodiesel (250 HP and 600 Nm), ten-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, mechanics already known in the national Ranger. .
The brand will exhibit the Ford Everest as an avant premiere in its spaces in Cariló and Pinamar, which will be active from December 26 to March 4.
