The Toyota Corolla Cross, Argentina’s best-selling SUV in 2024, was updated last year with a redesign. But only now has it added more equipment, including a new multimedia screen and the connectivity system from the Japanese brand that allows you to execute some functions remotely.
The Japanese brand’s model, which is imported from Brazil, recorded sales of more than 15 thousand units, which allowed it to be the SUV most chosen by Argentines, surpassing nationally produced models such as the Volkswagen Taos (13,190 units) or the Chevrolet Tracker (10,950).
During 2024, the Corolla Cross introduced a renovation that did not include mechanical changes but in appearance and a broader range of equipment. That update is now complete with the addition of new systems and the replacement of some elements in the 2025 edition.
The renewed Corolla Cross incorporates a new 10” multimedia center with wireless connectivity Android Auto and Apple Car Play. This new screen, one inch larger than the previous one and without physical buttons, is incorporated into all versions of the range. In turn, the USB ports now become Type C.
Furthermore, the SEG and GR-S versions incorporate the 360° vision system. This technology helps the driver see around the entire vehicle from a top-down angle from the combination of four cameras: one front, two sides and one rear. The system is activated automatically when reverse gear is engaged or by pressing a button.
Connected services
Like models such as Hilux, SW4 and Corolla, the SUV now incorporates Connected Services, a technological and assistance solution on board that expands the user experience in terms of connectivity and safety.
Customers will now be able to access key information about the status and use of the vehicle from the Toyota app, receive 24-hour attention and track your unitamong other functions.
The service will be available in the SEG and GR-S versions, the most equipped in the range. And two service packages will be available: Always Connected, free, and Connected Security, which has a cost.
The package Always Connected allows users to access information about their car, including general condition, trip history, maintenance reminders and fault diagnoses. This package guarantees customers a complete and detailed view of the vehicle’s condition to facilitate maintenance and care.
The package Connected Security It expands these functions and allows you to maximize the safety and control of the car. Among them, it integrates tracking and immobilization in case of theft, speed alerts, alarm notification, improved monitoring and geographic delimitation. All users will have 12 months of free access to the Connected Security package. After this period, the service will have an associated monthly cost.
Always Connected System Features
- Vehicle condition:. monitors car information such as odometer, fuel level, location, and overall engine condition. In addition, it offers the possibility of carrying out a diagnosis that identifies possible problems in operation and establishes contact channels to solve them.
- Latest trips: It compiles information from all trips made to display key data, such as distance traveled, trip duration, and average and maximum speed.
- Maintenance reminder: Send reminders via app when the mileage for the next maintenance service is approaching.
- Fuel Score: This feature analyzes driving habits and provides a score based on various factors, such as acceleration and speed maintained during trips.
- Vehicle diagnosis: is a preventive notice designed to inform the owner of possible problems or necessary maintenance. Through this function, the system detects conditions and sends alerts and notifications to the app from the client indicating that a review may be necessary.
Connected Security system functions
- Improved monitoring: In the event of a sudden deceleration or the opening of airbags, the system will send a notification to the app. If no response from the client is recorded, the Call Center will make two contact attempts by phone. If contact is not established with the user or if the user confirms the accident, the 24-hour service will be activated.
- 24 hour assistance: provides support to people in unforeseen situations during the trip, through help in emergency situations: battery problem, tire change or mechanical assistance.
- Speed alert: allows you to configure a speed limit on the app to monitor the unit. When this limit is exceeded, the system sends a notification to the owner’s phone.
- Geographic delimitation: establishes a geographic perimeter within which the car can circulate. If you leave or enter that perimeter, the system sends an alert to the app of the owner. This function is ideal for controlling movements when the vehicle is in the hands of a third party.
- Stolen vehicle tracking: Through a call to the customer service center or from the application, the person can request the tracking and immobilization of the unit. If the client has Connected Insurance, the location of the vehicle will automatically be made available to the insurance company.
- Vehicle immobilization: Allows you to lock the unit remotely. Once it is turned off, it cannot be started again until the immobilization is deactivated. This security feature can only be activated by direct request to the Toyota Argentina customer service center.
- Alarm notification: A notification is sent to the app when the vehicle alarm is activated.
