Mercedes-Benz Argentina launched the GLC Coupethe sporty SUV that came to complete the brand’s family of medium SUVs.
This second generation of the model replaces the one launched in 2016. It has many similarities with the GLC presented in our market in 2023, except for its sharper bodywork that reduces some habitability in the rear seats and trunk capacity.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC arrives imported from Germany in a single version (GLC 300 4MATIC Coupé) with mild hybridization technology, which costs $159,600.
SUV with sporty style
The new Mercedes Benz GLC Coupé measures 4.76 meters long and is offered with the AMG Line package, consisting of the front apron, large air intakes, 20-inch wheels and a sports steering wheel covered in micro-perforated leather, among others.
The trunk, for its part, has a capacity of 545 liters (against 600 for the standard GLC).
Inside, in addition to the sporty details, the new flattened ventilation outlets, the 12.3-inch LCD screen on the instrument panel and the 11.9-inch LCD screen on the center console stand out.
It incorporates the latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system, which improves several functions compared to the previous one. For example, the voice recognition system is more effective and includes a tourist guide function, which reviews the points of interest on the route you are going to travel.
It also offers a wireless cell phone charger, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and automatic climate control, among others.
In terms of safety, it has different driving assistance systems (adaptive speed control, active lane change detector, blind spot warning and assisted parking system), seven airbags (front and front side, curtain, and for the driver) and alert for loss of tire pressure, to name a few.
Mechanically it offers the same configuration as the GLC: a mild hybridization system (Mild-Hybrid), composed of the 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine with 258 horsepower and a 48-volt battery that assists it. The transmission is a nine-speed automatic and the traction is all-wheel drive.
It is important to note that this small electric motor (it does not move the wheels of the vehicle) also supplies energy to other components of the car, such as the air conditioning, steering assistance, lights or the navigator screen.
