Founded in 2016, JetSmart calls itself an ultra-low-cost airline. It has domestic operations in Chile, Argentina, Peru and Colombia, and more than 80 routes throughout the region, including flights to Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay.
One of the latest routes inaugurated is the Buenos Aires-Montevideo one, which began operating at the end of May with two daily flights all week. Now he has one a day and on Mondays, two.
It became a milestone, since it was “the first time that an ultra-low-cost airline operates this route on a regular basis, all year round,” the airline defined. And because it was a route operated, until that moment, exclusively by Aerolíneas Argentinas.
With the winter holidays already over and the low season ahead, JetSmart launched the “Zarpado” promo with this price of one thousand pesos per section to fly from Buenos Aires (Aeroparque) to Montevideo.
How to take advantage of the promotion:
The promotional price is that of the ticket, but to this we must add Argentina and Uruguay fees and taxeswhich take almost the entire fare that the traveler owes pay at checkout.
Clarín simulated a reservation for a random date in August: the promotion is easily locatable, and on the side, you can see the details of each of the purchase items and that they greatly increase the price paid at the end of the process.
Each section costs 954 pesos (note that not all dates have this price; there are others that are more expensive), the cheapest ticket without luggage was chosen (only a backpack or personal item is allowed) and the result of the final price is 71,999 pesos
As already said, it is low season and the economic crisis also pushes for the appearance of promotions.
