What changes and what engines will the renewed national compact have?

With just a few weeks left before its official presentation in Argentina, the French automaker anticipated the details of the renewed Peugeot 208its most successful model and one of the two best-selling cars – along with the Fiat Cronos – in the country.

On its official website, Peugeot not only shows images of its redesign but also reveals what the makeup of the range will be like, including mechanical details.

The renewed 208 will go on sale in August, almost simultaneously with the new 2008. Both models are produced at the El Palomar plant in Buenos Aires and share a platform and several components.

The range will be made up of four versions (Active, Allure, Allure Pack and GT) and two engines. At this point, the most important thing is the incorporation of motor turbo T200 (1.0 of 120 HP) that the Stellantis group offers in other models such as Fiat Pulse and Citroën C3 Aircross (the Peugeot 2008 will also have it).

Aesthetically, the model adopts the appearance of its European counterpart. The most important changes are in the front part where it has new headlights, grille (larger and with the new brand logo), bumpers and LED daytime running lights; now in triplicate.

The design of the wheels and rear lights is also renewed.
