The models that are sold today in Argentina do not have a comparison point in technology, quality and mechanics with those that arrived a few years ago. There are even medium-high-end offers such as several BAIC, Haval and Jetour models.

Online general price-equipment ratio There is a step above the proposals of traditional brands, but on the other hand, the wide after -sales support they have is infinitely superior to that of the Chinese.

Also importer of brands such as Volvo, Land Rover and Jaguar, exemar has the representation of Geely although at the moment does not market any model, only spare parts.

There is still nothing concrete with the future of this brand in the country. It is worth remembering that last month signed an agreement with Renault Brazil to manufacture electrified vehicles in that country.

According to the Brazilian press, Geely intends to produce at least two vehicles in Brazil in 2026 or, no later than 2027. This would shorten competition against their rivals byd and Great Wall Motors (GWM), which already have advanced operations in that country and open their own factories at the end of 2025.

The Byd giant is another that could disembark in the country, after the government officialized the requirements to bring hybrid and electric vehicles without paying import tariff.

The Argentine market was the most elusive to the spread of Chinese brands throughout Latin America. The reasons are several, but among the most important are tariff and tax guidelines, the years with import restriction and fluctuations that generate economic instability.

With a scenario that today is different, this new measure of elimination of the tariff for the importation of hybrids and electric fits perfectly to vehicles of the Asian giant.
