The automotive sector seems to be beginning to feel its spring. At least that is what this second semester reflects, which has been showing a frank recovery in 0 km sales.

The results for July and August are the consequence of several factors: a more open market with greater availability and supply of units, an exchange gap that is still convenient for the acquisition of certain models, and increasingly more and better financing plans from automotive companies.

The reduction of the PAIS tax, which went from 17.5% to 7.5%, has already had its repercussions on prices. Last week, several automakers published their September price lists with discounts that can reach more than 11 million pesos.

General discounts range from 2% to 4%, with specific cases that can reach up to 25%. Logically, the tweaks affected all segments, including the most economical models.

Toyota was the first to report its price reduction, which averages 2% for its domestic models and 4% for the vehicles it brings from Brazil. Among the latter, the Yaris model stands out in its XS version, which went from 21,205,000 pesos to 20,357,000 to continue being one of the cheapest on the market.

It is the cheapest model on the market and one of two vehicles that cost less than $20 million. The Italian boy maintains the same value as in August, the month of his relaunch in Argentina.

The Mobi retains the well-known 70 HP 1.0 aspirated engine and fifth-grade manual transmission. Its range is made up of a unique and unprecedented version (Trekking) that is distinguished from its predecessors by having a more adventurous look.
