The sale of 0 km cars does not raise its head. After a very weak first quarter and the worst January in the last 20 years, automakers faced April freezing prices of several of its models.
The measure reaches vehicles of all segmentseven in those that in March began to offer different financing plans (in April there are new offers).
Likewise, the price marking was very moderate. In the case of compact cars, such as the Citroën C3 and the Peugeot 208 (one of the best-selling models on the market), the increases compared to March were 0,5% y 1% respectively.
While the Toyota Yaris suffered increases of 4.5% and 5%. Even so, it is by far the cheapest model on the market, starting its range in $ 17.698.000 (XS 1.5 MT 5 doors).
The midsize pickup segment also remained stable. The Volkswagen Amarok range, for example, increased by only one 1%.
Prices brand by brand
Chevrolet frozen the prices of several of its models. The range Cruze has the same values as in March (from $27,489,900), except for two versions that had a significant reduction. These are the variants RSwhich last month cost $38,378,900 and this month have a value of $27,489,900.
The range Joy y Joy Plus (old generation Onix) also maintained March prices (from $20,271,900), as did the entry-level version of Spin ($ 23.033.900).
For its part, the pickup range S10 received a 6% increase, except in one of its most economical versions (LS double cab, with manual transmission and single-wheel drive) which respected the $34,989,900 of March.
A similar case occurs with the SUV Trackeralthough the increases for this model were 9% (only the LTZ AT version maintained last month’s price: $27,489,900)
Citroën maintained prices on three of the four versions of the C4 Cactus (the base version increased by 3.9%), in the Berlingo Van (which stopped offering the gasoline engine) and in the C5 Aircross.
In the Berlingo Multispace ($27,258,000) the increase was only 0,3%.
For its part, Fiat frozen the prices of Cronus, the best-selling model in Argentina for the last three years. The range, made up of five versions, is available from $19,864,000 (Like 1.3 GSE).
The pickup range Tour (from $28,665,000) and the utility vehicle Forint ($18,477,200) also maintained the March values, as did the full versions of the Pulse (capped at $27,894,000 to avoid paying the luxury tax).
Jeep and Peugeot They also repeated the formula, although in fewer models. The 4×4 specialist brand applied it to the cheapest versions (Sport) of the SUV Renegade, capped at $28,057,500. While the French woman did it on the Partner Furgon turbodiesel ($ 22.180.400).
Toyotathe brand that sells, produces and exports the most, maintained the prices of its entire range Hilux (composed of 16 versions), Corolla Cross (from $29,890,000) and Hiace (van and passenger version).
The sedan range Corollafor its part, maintained the prices of its three most expensive versions (SEG, SEG hybrid and GR-Sport), while the three most economical ones increased between 2.2% and 4.8%.
Volkswagen froze the prices of two of its four versions of Taosthe SUV produced at General Pacheco (top-of-the-range variants increased by 2.2%).
He also did the same with the intermediate variants of In the groin ($ 28.198.950) y T-Cross ($28,207,450), both at the limit of the first scale of the internal tax.
Used cars
The replacement vehicle market is also hit. In January and February transfers fell 12.7% and 4.8% respectively compared to 2023.
According to the price list published month after month by the Automotive Chamber of Commerce (CCA), the 0 km formula was also repeated in several of the most sought-after used models, such as the Volkswagen Gol, Chevrolet Corsa, Renault Clio, Ford Fiesta y Ford EcoSportamong others.
For their part, the Ford Ranger and Volkswagen Amarok pickups showed discounts in the order of 5% compared to March, while the Toyota Hilux (the best seller) increased 5%.
