Pope Francis raised a prayer for a concrete intention, especially aimed at the most forgotten, wounded or needy. Today, after his death on April 21, those for whom he prayed have wanted to thank that gesture.
Priests, missionaries, families, migrants, victims of abuse, women, children, peasants, persecuted Christians … All of them thank you for not having forgotten them.

The Pope’s World Prayer Network, a pontifical work that promoted this initiative since 2016, has paid tribute to Pope Francis with a brief but moving video published on Tuesday.
In him, different voices of the world remember the intentions for which the Holy Father asked to pray for almost a decade.
“Every month you asked us to pray with you for the challenges of humanity and the mission of the Church, teaching us to learn from Jesus the compassion for others. Thank you, Francisco, for your life and for your testimony,” reads the description of the video.
Pope Francis participated every month in this initiative, which consisted of a monthly message in which he asked for sentences for a concrete intention.
The last dand these messagespublished just a few weeks before his death, it was a plea for an ethical use of new technologies: “Let’s pray that the use of digital technologies does not replace human relationships, but that it favors them.”
Translated to 23 languages and disseminated in more than 114 countries, the videos of the Pope’s intentions exceed 220 million views.
