Vatican: Second audience of Pope Francis in the Jubileo de la Esperanza 2025

Pope Francis presided on Saturday the second jubilee audience in the Classroom Paul VI, where he urged the faithful to live a true conversion within the framework of the Jubileo de la Esperanza 2025, with his eyes on new goals and inspired by Santa María Magdalena.

María Magdalena closely followed the teachings of Jesus, who chose her as the first person to seek him in the sepulcher and witness her resurrection, even before the apostles.

The Holy Father pointed out that, like Mary Magdalena, who believed that Jesus was still dead and looked for him in the sepulcher, “the road is a constant invitation to change perspective. The risen takes us to his world, step by step, with the condition that we no longer intend to know everything. ”

Called to overcome selfishness

In his catechesis, the Pope warned about the danger of selfishness, ensuring that “it prevents us from recognizing Jesus resurrected.” In this regard, he recalled that Maria Magdalena’s invitation is to “turn to life. Our teacher awaits us. ”

Finally, Francisco concluded his message by remembering that each person has a place in life. Therefore, he encouraged to put aside selfishness and reflect: «What is my place? What is the mission that the Lord gives us? May this thought help us to assume a brave attitude in life. ”
