Pope Francis expressed his pain and raised his prayers for Haiti, after the kidnapping of the occupants of a bus carrying six nuns occurred on Friday, January 19.
“I have learned with pain of the news of the kidnapping, in Haiti, of a group of people, among whom were six nuns,” said the Holy Father at the end of the Angelus prayer this January 21, Sunday of the Word of God.
“By wholeheartedly asking for his release, I pray for social harmony in the country and invite everyone to stop the violence, which causes so much suffering in that beloved population.”
