The Archdiocese of Omaha in the state of Nebraska (United States) reported the murder of Father Stephen Gutgsell, 65, who was stabbed around 5:00 am (local time) on December 10, the second Advie Sunday.
“The Archdiocese of Omaha is praying for Father Stephen Gutgsell, who was attacked during a break-in at the parish rectory. St. John the Baptist at Fort Calhoun, early Sunday morning,” he says. a statement published on December 10.
