The Ministry of Security Two Boca barracks were prohibited from entering the fields whom he managed to identify as protagonists of the violent incidents between fans and the Police that occurred on the Newell’s Old Boys field last Wednesday, in the match against Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata for the quarterfinals of the Argentine Cup.

According to that document, published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette with the signature of the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, the measure “comes into force as of its issuance.”

The events were recorded before the start of the game in which Boca subsequently qualified for the semi-finals in the penalty shootout. In those moments, Xeneizes fans began to throw seats from the upper stalls to the popular Gimnasia stalls.

After almost 25 minutes of delay, and after Riquelme made his way through the audience to return to his box, the game restarted.

However, the incidents were recorded in the Operational Control System installed in the Marcelo Bielsa stadium. These images, together with those from the broadcast of the meeting, made it possible to identify two of the main participants in the events.

“Given these circumstances and taking into account that the spirit of the current applicable regulations is to preserve order and security in football events, focusing on prevention in the development of a sporting event, it is clear that the purpose is to neutralize and prevent the presence at the event of people who could alter, in any way, the sports meeting,” explained the Resolution of the Ministry headed by Bullrich.
