Tourism is added to the Simple Fee program and trips can be paid in 3 and 6 fixed installments

“Travelers will be able to purchase air and bus tickets, accommodations, packages and tourist services in 3 and 6 fixed installments“This was announced this Tuesday by the Secretary of Tourism, Environment and Sports of the Nation, Daniel Scioli, when he broke the news that the sector had been demanding: the incorporation of the tourism industry a Simple Fee.

It is a program that will allow you to travel around the country purchasing tourist services with credit cards in 3 and 6 fixed installments for 90 days, “at the lowest market rate and Unlimited“.

With the objective of “promoting federal tourism development, bringing relief to regional economies and deseasonalize tourist activity“, Cuota Simple will aim to “work side by side so that tourism is at the service of the development of the country and the well-being of Argentines.”

The announcements took place at an event led by Scioli at the Ministry of Tourism, where the Secretary of Industry and Productive Development of the Nation, Juan Pazo, was present; the Undersecretary of Tourism of the Nation, Yanina Martínez; and the first vice president of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT), Fernando Gorbarán, as well as national and provincial authorities and representatives of the private sector.

In that context, Scioli expressed: “I am here because I feel that it is a moment when you cannot be indifferent, you have to commit and put your shoulder to it. We have to have a constructive vision and I am convinced that areas such as Tourism, Sports and Environment have a common denominator: quality of life.”

Industry support

In turn, the representative of the CAT, Fernando Gorbarán, said that “this program is essential for tourism in Argentina, since it will generate foreign currency and jobs, which is what our country needs today. We are here to accompany all the initiatives, because there is a vocation for the private sector to work with the public sector.”

Shortly after the announcements, the Argentine Federation of Associations of Travel and Tourism Companies (FAEVYT) issued a statement celebrating the government decision: “It is a very important step for tourism. We have been working at different tables to articulate policies in favor of travel and tourism companies; “That this unanimous request from the entire sector has been heard is essential for the present and future of tourism.”

“We hope that this step is the first of many in favor of the activity, at FAEVYT we will continue working on defense of the interests of the companies we represent“We believe that it is essential to have informed interlocutors with experience in the industry such as Daniel Scioli and Yanina Martínez, with whom we are convinced we will be able to advance in different concrete actions that benefit the sector,” said Martin Romano from FAEVYT.
