Today we remember Saint Longinus, the Roman soldier who pierced Christ’s side with his spear and believed in Him |
|
Every March 15, the Church remembers the figure of Saint Longinus (1st century), the Roman centurion who, by order of Pontius Pilate, was in command of the group of soldiers in charge of the crucifixion of Christ and the two thieves. He was the one who pierced the most holy side of the Lord with his spear. |
