Today we commemorate Saint Simeon of Jerusalem, bishop and martyr, cousin of the Lord Jesus

Every February 18, the Church remembers Saint Simeon of Jerusalem, the second to occupy the episcopal see of the Holy City. According to tradition, Simeon would have been a relative of Jesus, as indicated in both the Gospel of Saint Matthew (Mt 13, 55) and that of Saint Mark (Mc 6, 3).
