This is the new Volkswagen Amarok that is already manufactured in Argentina and will be launched next month

After much speculation, and with just a month to go before its commercial launch in the country, Volkswagen Argentina showed the first image of the new Amarokwhose production has already begun at the General Pacheco plant.

Although the local subsidiary calls it “new generation” it is a deep update of the midsize pickup that began production here in 2009 and was then updated in 2016.

It is worth remembering that the new generation of Amarok, which was initially going to be manufactured at the Ford Argentina Through an agreement between the two automotive companies (Project Cyclone), it migrated to South Africa after the project was canceled due to differences between both companies.

Changes in sight

Volkswagen only released a single image of its new pickup, which shows a completely renewed nose that debuts a new hood design, grille illuminated with an LED light strip (Taos style), logo, headlights and bumpers.

Although there have not yet been confirmations of the interior, it is known that there will be versions with a digital instrument panel and VW Play multimedia system, already present in other models such as Taos and Nivus, among others.

The Amarok in numbers
