In a statement, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation reported that the Mexican Space Agency (AEM) will work together with NASA and the Mazatleca Astronomical Society in what they called the educational activity “Total Eclipse of Sol–April 2024”.
Mexico “will be in the eyes of the world,” said the director of the AEM, Salvador Landeros, in reference to the eclipse that will take place on April 8, 2024.
And he considers that the collaborations with NASA, “on this occasion in a coordinated activity with the Mazatleca Astronomical Society, contribute to the objective of attract young vocations towards science and study, in order to distance them from the causes of violence,” said Landeros.
