On the occasion of the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary that is celebrated this June 8, one day after the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we share with you that correction that the Virgin made to Saint Margaret Mary of Alacoque so that she would be a good Christian and welcome the Divine Heart.
In her adolescence, Saint Margaret (1647-1690) suffered from a rheumatic disease that caused her to suffer a lot of pain. No matter how much she sought a cure, she did not obtain any remedy, until she went in desperation to the Blessed Virgin and made her a promise.

According to corazones.org, a website run by the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, the young saint promised the Mother of God that if she regained health through her intercession, then she would become one of her daughters. After this commitment, she obtained healing.
“I received health and a new protection from this Lady, who declared herself the owner of my Heart, who, seeing me as her own, governed me as consecrated to Her, rebuked me for my faults and taught me to do the will of God,” he said. Saint Margarita.
However, like any young woman, she had moments of weakness. As she herself described, she let herself be carried away by vanity and, taking advantage of the affection of her mother and her brothers, she dedicated time to light amusements.
But the Virgin, seeing that he was about to succumb in the internal struggle he was experiencing, appeared to him one day, while he was praying the rosary, and caught his attention. “My daughter, I marvel that you serve me with such negligence,” Our Lady rebuked her.
These few words deeply touched the heart of Saint Margaret and remained with her as a maternal correction for life. Later, she made a vow to the Mother of God to fast every Saturday and pray the office of the Immaculate Conception.
On one occasion, the Virgin encouraged her in her struggles, saying: “Fear nothing; you will be my true daughter, and I will always be your good Mother.”
Over time, Saint Margaret began to have mystical visions of Jesus. “I have chosen you as my wife and we promised each other fidelity when you took the vow of chastity. It is I who motivated you to do so, before the world had a share in your heart… And then I entrusted you to the care of my Holy Mother, to that I formed you according to my designs,” Christ told him.
Later, while in the monastery of the Visitation, Jesus revealed to him the mysteries of his Sacred Heart.
