“Gratitude is the memory of the heart. Best wishes Pope Francis!”, reads on the cake, whose drawing was made by the children of the Dispensary and represents the Pontiff holding hands with children from all over the world.
The cake was made by pizza maker Vincenzo Staiano who, like every year, will take the candle blown by the Pope to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Pompeii.
They also performed acrobatics and clown acts, with the help of the artists of the Vassal Circus.
