This devotional exercise of Saint Rose of Lima can be imitated by those who want to please God.

The Catholic Encyclopedia, together with the Apostolate of Popular Piety, has compiled the Devotional exercise of Saint Rose of Limaa prayer that brings together the attributes of God to praise him, and whose authorship is attributed to the first canonized saint of America.

José Gálvez Krüger, director of the Catholic Encyclopedia, highlighted in statements to ACI Prensa that “Saint Rose of Lima is the first fruit of holiness of the Christianization of America” and “represents the model of Christian perfection, which is based on the Prayer of the Holy Rosary, in Frequent Communion, and in the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

“It also personifies Lima, the City of the Kings, which was born with the celebration of the Eucharist, and whose mission is the Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, taking as an example the Adoration that the Three Wise Men paid to the Human Word,” he highlighted.

Among the praises of Saint Rose of Lima you can read titles such as “God the Savior”, “God of Infinite Glory” and “God of all Consolation”.

It is, highlighted the director of the Catholic Encyclopedia, “a devout exercise composed by the saint herself, which bears witness to sure doctrine, superior catechesis, and the highest spirituality.”

Gálvez Krüger regrets that Saint Rose of Lima, a contemporary of other great saints of Peru such as Saint Martín de Porres and Saint Toribio de Mogrovejo, “has been a victim of ideological attacks,” and highlighted the work of Rodolfo Vargas Rubiocollaborator of the Catholic Encyclopedia, to defend his life and Christian testimony.

Furthermore, he recalled that the Catholic Encyclopedia has also compiled an ancient litany to ask for help from Santa Rosa de Lima.
