“The remedy to this situation must begin by attracting Venezuelans to unity and harmony. That is a work that belongs to God, to the God of infinite charity and ineffable compassion, to the God of our tabernacle, to the peaceful Host, who alone has the power to unite souls and keep them in order and peace. ”said Father Castro in 1899.
Mons. Pérez, together with all the country’s bishops, propose that Venezuelans travel “a path of grace” to celebrate the anniversary, which will last until November of this year. “We hope that this will be a time of abundant blessings for our country, and a way to renew our identity as children of God through Baptism,” he remarked.
According to the itinerary, a pastoral letter on the sacrament of the Eucharist will be published in May. Furthermore, in July – the central month of the celebrations – the consecration of Venezuela to the Blessed Sacrament will be renewed in all the communities, chapels and parishes of the country.
