The Archbishopric of Port-au-Prince (Haiti) reported that the six nuns who were kidnapped on January 19, along with other occupants of a bus in which they were traveling, have been released.
“With the community of Sisters of Saint Anne and the Haitian Conference of Religious, the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince thanks God for the release of six nuns and other people who were kidnapped with them on January 19,” it says. a statement of January 24signed by Father Marc Henry Siméon, director of the communication service of the Archbishopric of Port-au-Prince.
“This traumatizing event has, once again, tested our faith, but it remains unwavering. “God always hears the cry of the poor and frees the unfortunate from all his evils,” the text adds.
