The Tomás Moro Institute in Costa Rica launched the virtual course “Preserve, do not destroy human life”, which will be held in June and July, which will be taught by the renowned doctor and bioethics expert Pilar Calva.
In a note sent to ACI Prensa, it is pointed out that “human life in the nascent or terminal phase is under threat in developing countries, countries with Christian traditions, which are under the influence of foreign fashions, promoted by international organizations and foreign governments. , which seek to change the culture and traditions of these countries, traditionally lovers of life and good customs.”

The course is a response to this reality, the note states, it is aimed at the general public and “aims to introduce the student to the bases and foundations of the reasoned defense of human life.”
Dr. Pilar Calva is a renowned bioethicist, doctor and expert in human genetics. She did her postgraduate studies under the tutelage of the French doctor Jérôme Lejeune, discoverer of trisomy 21 – the cause of Down syndrome – and has been a member of the Pontifical Academy for Life, a university professor and an international lecturer.
The course will be taught on June 20 and 27; and July 4, 11, 18 and 25, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Central American time.
The virtual course also has the endorsement of Doctors for Life and the Juan Pablo II University in Costa Rica.
