Experts from the Higher Institute of Guadalupanos Studies (ISEG) of Mexico have been invited to participate in the 26th Marian Mariological Congress International in Rome, at the beginning of September.
They will represent the ISEG, Fr. Eduardo Chávez, doctor of Church History, a postulator of San Juan Diego and considered the main expert in the appearances of Our Lady of Guadalupe; and Dr. David Ricardo Ojeda Correa, doctor and director of the Mérida del Isog campus, exact science expert applied to the Tilma of the Virgen de Guadalupe.

The Marian Mariological Congress will be held in the Italian capital from September 3 to 6, 2025, at the Antonianum Auditorium in Rome. A meeting of the participants with Pope Leo XIV is planned.
In statements to ACI Press, Fr. Eduardo Chávez shared that “it is a great joy and a great honor that the Superior Institute of Guadalupanos studies has received such a special invitation from Pope Leo XIV and the Pontifical International Marian Academy to speak, to participate in the Marian Congress International of the Holy See”.
“It makes me very pleasant that we can express that breath and that word of Santa María de Guadalupe, queen of peace, of hope, of love that our peoples need so much,” he said.
The Mexican priest asked “with all my heart to accompany us with his prayer, because we are representing this town that unites us all the peoples of the earth as true brothers as she told San Juan Diego: ‘I am your mother, the mother of all those who are in one and of the other varied lines nations’.”
“That she touches our heart so that there is peace. That is our hope,” he said.
