The Archdiocese of Caracas has enabled A pre -registration record For the various activities that will take place in Rome and Venezuela, on the occasion of the canonization of José Gregorio Hernández and Carmen Rendiles, which will become the first saints of the country.

The canonization of these Venezuelans will take place October 19 In the Vatican, along with 5 other blessed worldwide, among which the Catechist of Papua New Guinea Peter To Rot and the Italian lawyer Bartolo Longo stand out.

“Users must enter their personal data, specify whether they are lay or have a clerical status. They must also define whether they will participate in the six activities scheduled in Italy or the two scheduled in Venezuela,” said the Archdiocese on their website.

Until now, the planned celebrations in Rome are six:

• October 15: General Hearing with Pope Leo XIV in San Pedro Square.

In Caracas, a Thanksgiving Mass will take place on October 25 at the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium, at 10:00 am in Isnotu, hometown of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández in the Trujillo state, a Thanksgiving Mass will also be held on November 1 at 11:00 am

The Archbishop of Caracas, Mons. Raúl Biord, explained that the registration aims to quantify approximately the number of faithful who will participate in the activities, to facilitate a better logistics and organization.

The Archbishop said that the activities are free, although he warned that the pre -registration does not guarantee access to ceremonies. The form also specifies that the costs associated with transfers, per diem, permits and lodgings must be covered by each participant.
