The Pro-Life Pastoral of the Diocese of Daule (Ecuador) held an event in which the local bishop blessed 6,000 rosaries that will be distributed among the brothers who need them most.
The event was held within the framework of the “40 Days for Daule Life” campaign, at the Tepeyac Oratory, a place at the top of the mountain of the San Alberto Magno parish, “to unite in prayer and offer the Rosary for the defense of all human life,” Estela Zea de Furlato, in charge of the Pro-Life Pastoral of the Diocese of Daule, explained to ACI Prensa.

The blessing and prayer of the Rosary took place on October 22, the day of Saint John Paul II, before an emblematic image of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
“It was a very significant moment in the liturgical memory of Saint John Paul II, the Pope who left us a great legacy by being an authentic defender of life and constantly showing his great love for the Virgin Mary,” Zea de Furlato told ACI Prensa.

“Our Bishop, Bishop Cristóbal Kudlawiec, blessed the rosaries and addressed us some words full of hope, inviting us to pray the Holy Rosary with faith,” highlighted the also co-founder of Yes to Life and initiator of The Voice of the Unborn in Ecuador.
At the conclusion of the blessing, “the bell of the unborn rang, reminding us of the sacred value of each life,” highlighted Zea de Furlato.

The bell, blessed by Pope Francis in 2024, is engraved with the phrase “love, respect, defend and serve life”, taken from the encyclical The Gospel of Life (The Gospel of Life) by Pope Saint John Paul II.

About 100 people participated in the event. In addition to the bishop, the parish priest of San Alberto Magno, Father Alfonso Avilés, was also present.
