The attorney of the provincial municipality of Cajamarca in the northern mountains of Peru, Henry Silva Trujillo, hit a priest while he was praying to prevent the eviction of the family that cares for a chapel dedicated to the Virgin of Fátima.
The events occurred in the early hours of November 30, when Silva attacked Father Manuel Salazar, chancellor of the Diocese of Cajamarca, who was with other faithful praying at the doors of the home of the Huaccha Saucedo family, guardians of the place, located on the hill of Santa Apolonia in the city of Cajamarca.
As can be seen in a videoSilva hits the priest in the face and knocks him down, in the midst of struggles between the faithful and local police officers, as well as several members of the serenazgo (municipal police).
