A priest of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (United States) was arrested after allegedly having had inappropriate sexual behavior with a minor.
Fr. Jaime Arriaga was arrested on April 3, according to the records of the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department.

The Archdiocese informed the parishioners of the parishes of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Louis of France who had received the complaint of misconduct on April 2 and quickly informed the police.
Before his arrest, the priest was “retired from the Ministry as a result of the report of an alleged inappropriate sexual behavior that involved a minor,” said the archdiocese.
The accusations “led to a criminal process,” said the archdiocese, Segun Angel News.
Arriaga has been accused of “aggression with the intention of committing a serious crime and four serious crimes of obscene and lascivious acts against a person from 14 to 15 years,” said Angelus News. He declared himself innocent of the charges on Monday.
The priest is detained without bail and his next date of appearance before the court is June 5, according to the Sheriff’s records.
For this Wednesday morning, a Arriaga profile had been withdrawn on the Archdiocese website. The priest was ordered last year on June 1.
The archdiocese did not immediately respond to a comment request on Wednesday morning.
