The Vatican Press Office reported early this Monday morning in Rome that in Pope Francis’ state of health “mild flu-like symptoms persist, without fever. However, out of an abundance of caution, this morning’s hearings are suspended.”
This is the second time in three days that pontifical audiences have been canceled after the same measure was taken last Saturday “due to a mild case of flu.”
On Sunday, Pope Francis did attend his weekly meeting with the faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square to pray the Angelus.
