Shortly after celebrating the Festival of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, on Friday, June 27, we share an emotional poem in the form of a prayer dedicated to the divine love for Santa Teresa de Lisieux, doctor of the church and patron saint of the missions.
In the archives of the Lisieux Carmelo are the stanzas of this text written in handwriting by Santa Teresita (1873-1897). She used to say: “In the heart of the Church, which is my mother, I will be love.”

The poem is titled “In the Sacred Heart of Jesus”And it is composed of 8 paragraphs. At the beginning he remembers the anguish of Santa María Magdalena for seeing the teacher, who by showing his face returned peace and joy.
Then she expresses to have that same concern to meet the Lord, who is in the Eucharist and allows her to rest in her tender heart. Next, the last three paragraphs in which the Holy asks Jesus to always live in his love.
6. Oh Heart of Jesus, Treasure of Tenderness
You are my happiness, my only hope,
You who knew how to love my tender youth
Stay with me until the last night
Lord, I just gave you my life
And all my wishes are well known
Is always infinite good
How do I want to lose myself, oh heart of Jesus!
7. Oh! I know well, all our justices
They have no value to your eyes
To give value to my sacrifices
I want to throw them into your divine heart
You didn’t find your impeccable angels
In the middle of lightning you gave your law! …
In your Sacred Heart, Jesus, I hide
I do not tremble, my virtue is you! …
8. To be able to contemplate your glory
You have to, I know, go through the fire
And I choose for my purgatory
Your burning love, oh heart of my God!
My exiled soul leaving this life
I would like to do an act of pure love
And then fly to heaven his homeland
Enter your heart without surroundings.
