Pope Francis taught this morning a valuable lesson that can be learned from the sport of tennis during an audience at the Vatican with the Spanish delegation “Real Club de Tenis Barcelona”, which celebrates its 125th anniversary this year.
The Holy Father stressed that tennis in particular, “not being a team game, but rather individually or in pairs, poses an interesting facet for our reflection.”
“Neither in tennis nor in life we can always win, but it will be an enriching fight if, by playing politely and according to the rules, we learn that it is not a fight but a dialogue that involves our effort and allows us to improve ourselves,” he highlighted.
