The Hispanic pastoral of the diocese of Palm Beach announces its pilgrimages for the Jubileo de la Esperanza

Fr. Duván Bermúdez, director of the Hispanic Pastoral Office in the Diocese of Palm Beach (United States), announced that in August the pilgrimage for Deanates will begin towards the Cathedral of San Ignacio de Loyola, on the occasion of the Jubileo de la Esperanza.

In a video posted on Facebook, the priest invited the faithful who do not have the opportunity to pilgrimage to Rome, to join this initiative and thus cross the replica of the Holy Door of the Basilica of San Pedro who has settled in the Cathedral of Palm Beach.

“In our Cathedral of San Ignacio de Loyola we have a copy, a replica of the Holy Gate of Rome, where we are going to have pilgrimages from many places,” he said.

Therefore, he encouraged to go as a family and, as Hispanic communities, cross this door to “be able to receive plenary indulgence.” “All parishes with Hispanic communities are invited,” he said.

For its part, the Hispanic pastoral remembers in her Facebook account that “the jubilee asks us to put ourselves on the way and that we knew some limits. When we move, in fact, we do not change only place, but that we transform ourselves.”

“That is why,” he adds, “it is important to prepare, plan the journey and know the goal. In this sense, the pilgrimage that characterizes this year begins before the trip itself: its starting point is the decision to do so.”

The pilgrimages of the four Deanates will take from 10:30 to 12:30 (local time). The dates are as follows: The northern deanery will pilgrimage on Saturday, August 2, the Southern Dean will do so on Saturday, September 13, the Decanato Centro will have its match on Saturday, October 4 and the Dean Cathedral will do the same on Saturday, November 1.
