“Libera nos: el Combate de los Exorcistas”, the first film in history about exorcisms made under the protection of the Catholic Church, will be released in Spain on October 25.
Who is the devil and how does he act? What are his weapons? When is there true diabolical possession? What does an exorcism consist of? Who is the exorcist? This docudrama aims to answer these and other questions, delving into the different aspects of diabolical possession and exorcism and showing both its development and its meaning.

According to Goya Producciones, in charge of distributing this feature-length documentary in collaboration with European Dreams Factory, the film is a “vibrant synthesis” of the experiences of real cases of liberation from diabolical possession, lived by the almost 900 members of the International Association of Exorcists. (IEA).
It should be noted that the Vatican approved the AIE in 2014 as an association of faithful with pontifical right, to help priests who carry out the difficult ministry of exorcism with the authorization of their bishops.
The feature film, in docudrama format, also includes interviews with psychiatrist and psychologist experts whose action extends to countries around the world.
Faced with the expansion of current esoteric and occult reality, Goya Producciones emphasizes, the film “offers real and objective information, without fantasies, about the devil’s tactics and how to confront them.”
It is a film for everyone, believers and non-believers, “because it addresses very current issues from the first-person experience of the exorcists.”
They also affirm that the film “will illustrate Catholics disoriented by current neo-paganism who look for their hope in Christ.”
Most of those who take part in the documentary are practicing exorcists, and in some sequences “the most famous exorcist in the world, Father Gabrielle Amorth, whose popularity lives on through his books and videos” appears.
In addition, they point out that its premiere is scheduled for later in numerous Latin American countries.
