The approximately 90-minute production recounts the most relevant moments of the political and social debate on abortion in Argentina, the public demonstrations and the votes in Congress.
In addition, it brings together the testimonies of pro-life leaders and references of the movement, both from the political and civil spheres, such as Lupe Batallán, Agustín Laje and Gabriel Ballerini. International figures such as Eduardo Verástegui, Patricia Sandoval, Jorge Serrano and Montse Alvarado also appear.
The film reviews the different marches, events and interviews carried out in 2018 and subsequent years, both in Argentina and the United States, and even some incorporated in 2025.
The documentary, Faro Films states, has two great purposes: “The first is to leave a visual historical legacy of what was a heroic feat of civil society, which spontaneously mobilized in defense of unborn children and triumphed against all odds, defeating an immense pro-abortion machinery financed with millions of dollars from abroad.”
On the other hand, “reunite and mobilize the pro-life movement, which was strengthened in 2018, to continue with a fight that persists to this day, after the approval of the Abortion Law in 2020 under the government of Alberto Fernández,” they indicate.
Since Law 27,610, called “legal interruption of pregnancy,” came into force, in 2021 to 2024, a total of 314,492 abortions were reported – according to official data from the National State. That is, an average of 78,623 per year.
