On Monday, August 22, 2016, at night, Boca beat Ramón Santamarina de Tandil 2-1 in Formosa and secured a place in the round of 16 of the Argentine Cup. Darío Benedetto and Cristian Pavón scored the goals for the team led by Guillermo Barros Schelotto and whose captain was Carlos Tevez.
That same day, at noon, Boca closed a new reinforcement after passing the medical examination: Nazareno Solis. “I am happy to fulfill this dream of playing for Boca. I enjoy this moment to the fullest, very few have the dream of playing for the club they are a fan of. I play as a left winger but I can also do it on the right wing. Time passed and Solís’ dreams of succeeding in Boca were fading, beyond the fact that it was taken into account by the Twin in that first semester. He never managed to find his footing as a striker and then he began to look for luck elsewhere. For different reasons, He never broke ties with Boca and it was renewed even without playing. He emigrated once, twice, three, four, five and six times on loans. And now he sang seven: he will play in 2024 on loan at Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza.
Solís’ numbers are surprising: in almost 8 years at the club, he was loaned to more teams (7) than the games he played for the club (4).
Solís made his debut on October 29, 2016 in the 4-0 win over Temperley: he came on for Tevez 25 minutes into the second half. Then, he would play against Colón (December 18), against Defensa y Justicia (April 1, 2017) and against Patronato (April 16). In total, he accumulated 62 minutes. Tired of waiting for his place, he decided to go out on loan. And there he would begin his journey.
Between 2017 and 2018 he emigrated to Hurricane, where he played 11 games. Then, between 2018 and 2019 he played 18 games in San Martín de San Juan and scored one goal. For the 2019 and 2020 season he wore the Aldosivi: 3 goals in 18 games. The European chance was given to him OFI Crete of Greece, a cast in which he played 13 duels with a celebration. The winger ended his stay in Europe and trained with the Boca Reserve from May to December 2021. In 2022 he moved to Alvarado from Mar del Plata (28 games and 3 shouts) and in 2023 he signed with Patronage (38 duels and 3 celebrations).
Now, this 2024 you will find him playing for Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza in the Primera Nacional. Then, in December, he will return to Boca. And possibly he will be loaned out again…
