Like every year, the platform Tripadvisorwhich brings together millions of travelers in an online community, published the winners of its premios Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Hotels: Choose the hotels with the best ratings in reviews from the last year.
“According to our reviewers, each of the world’s best hotels caters to the traveler seeking affordable luxury and unique, personalized experiences,” said Dan Mitchell, vice president and general manager of hotels at Tripadvisor.
How the best hotels are selected
Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best award winners are chosen based on quality and quantity of reviews and ratings of travelers specific to each subcategory published by Tripadvisor and for an entire year (in this case, from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023).
“Our best hotels are marvels, acclaimed by thousands of travelers for their remarkable service, stunning design and wealth of amenities that redefine what it means to have an exceptional hotel experience,” added Mitchell.
What is the best hotel in the world in 2024
This 2024, the first place went to the Hotel Colline de Francelocated in Gramado, Brazil.
With 34 suites and recognized for its personalized service and French elegance, this boutique hotel has been in the “top 5” of the best hotels for three consecutive years.

Petfriendly, sustainable and wellness: other award-winning hotels
To adjust to new trends and traveler searches, in addition to the best hotels, this year Tripadvisor introduced three new award subcategories such as the best pet friendly hotels (who receive pets), sustainable and those of welfare.
Curiously, among the hotels that welcome pets, the first prize also went to Brazil. This is the Hotel Fioreze Quero Quero, also in Gramado. In the United States, the best pet-friendly hotel is the Hyatt Centric Las Olas Fort Lauderdale.
In the sustainable hotels category, first prize went to the Buahan a Banyan Tree Escape hotel in Bali.
Finally, the Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa leads the list of the best wellness hotels in the world. This all inclusive is considered an “oasis of happiness”.
