Four years after showing his design to the world, Elon Musk delivered the first units of Cybertruck, Tesla’s highly anticipated electric pickup truck that is capable of accelerate more than a Porsche y resist heavy caliber bullet impacts.

The second, for its part, showed the armoring power of the truck, capable of resisting impacts from a 45 caliber machine gun and caliber weapons 9 mm.
Likewise, this time the resistance of the glass to the impacts of a baseball was successfully tested, recalling the failed attempts four years ago.
More expensive and with less autonomy
The purchase price for the basic model (single engine and rear-wheel drive) is $60,990; the intermediate one (all-wheel drive, two engines and 608 HP), $79,990; and the full one called “Cyberbeast” (all-wheel drive, two engines and 857 HP), $99,990.
These values clearly exceed the $39,900, $51,100 and $71,100 respectively that Musk had promised during the 2019 presentation.
Elon Musk had also “sold” that the Cybertruck would be capable of traveling up to 805 kilometers (500 miles) on a single charge. However, at the event it was made clear that its maximum distance reaches 547 kilometerssomething like 340 miles.
For those who wish to expand it (up to 756 kilometers), the brand offers an additional battery that must be installed in the charging box.

The manufacturer enters an already occupied electric pickup market, particularly by its rival Rivian. Last year, Ford launched the F-150 Lightning, the electric version of its best-selling model in the United States.
Musk has previously revealed that he already has more than a million orders and that he hopes to reach a production of 250,000 units towards 2025.
